Meet the Team

  • Martha Swift, Chapter Chair

    Martha is the Sr. Manager of the Capture Advancement Team for Collins Aerospace. She leads a team of capture center professionals, including proposal specialists and a graphic designer in support ofthe Connected Aviation Solutions Capture Center. She is the President/Chapter Chair for APMP Chesapeake. She is an APMP-certified Proposal Manager with 25+ years of proposal and capture management experience.

  • Brenda Crist, Program Chair

    Brenda Crist has 25+ years of experience providing capture management, proposal management, and proposal writing support. She has been a Vice President at Lohfeld Consulting since 2008. She is certified by APMP at the Professional Level, is an APMP Fellow, and is an APMP Certification Instructor.

  • Nazirah Muhammad, MarCom Chair

    Nazirah is a marketing and proposal manager with over a decade of proposal management experience in the energy, environmental consulting, commercial, accounting and healthcare staffing industries. A Baltimore native, graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland (Bachelor of Arts in English), she is a passionate diversity and inclusion workplace advocate with a focus on community service and social services. She has additional experience with project management and nonprofit grant writing and editing.

  • Dennis Wagner, Vice Chair, MarCom

    Dennis is the Corporate Capture and Proposal Coordinator for Analytic Services, Inc. (ANSER) with over 15 years of proposal experience. In his current role, he assists ANSER’s management team identify suitable opportunities, develop and execute capture plans, and draft compelling solutions. He also manages the corporation’s proposal process and trains staff in capture planning and proposal development.

  • Diana Chambers, Membership Chair

    Ms. Chambers is a seasoned Proposal Manager with 16 years of experience and has been supporting the Business Development efforts for Global Science & Technology, Inc. since 2018. She currently serves as the APMP Chesapeake Chapter Membership Chair from 2020.

  • Olta Deaner, Treasurer

    Olta is a results-driven professional with a proven track record of leveraging adaptability, deep focus, and time management to propel organizational growth with over 15+ years of Business Development Experience. Self-motivated professional with exceptional communication skills, accountability, and perceptiveness. Adept at approaching challenges with an open mind and demonstrating strong leadership through active listening and persuasive communication. With robust background in strategy development, she has achieved success in her career journey.

  • Dale Thompson, Vice Treasurer

    Dale Thompson has a background in the Material Handling (Crisplant A/S), Aerospace Telecommunications (ARINC/Collins/RTX), and Tactical Communications (IT Tech Direct) industries. He is an APMP Practitioner Certified Proposal Manager with 30+ years’ experience managing and conducting Proposal and Capture activities for large and small businesses. He has been an APMP member for 21 years, and Treasurer of the APMP Chesapeake Chapter since 2015.

  • Maybelle Mandycz, Vice Chair, Marketing & Programs

    Maybelle joined the APMP Chesapeake Chapter in May 2023. She is a Business Development Manager at SHLD, Inc. Her background is in proposal management and business development, primarily within the Federal and DoD sectors and the Intelligence Community. "Overall, I'm passionate about what I do, and I love being able to help small businesses grow and thrive in today's competitive marketplace".

  • Lauren Bahlman, Secretary

    Lauren got into proposal writing and management the same way many people do – by accident. She is currently a Sr. Proposal Manager at M.C. Dean in Tysons for large federal and commercial contracts, and previously worked for Collins Aerospace, Master Key and has freelanced. She has managed/written proposals for local and state projects, aerospace, and the travel industry. This is her second year on the Chesapeake Chapter Board as Secretary.

  • Michael K. French, Webmaster

    Michael joined Rockwell Collins in 2011 as a Principal Graphic Designer, responsible for creating graphics for Government focused proposals. He currently is a Manager of Brand Marketing & Digital Communications for the Connected Aviation Solutions business unit of Collins Aerospace, an RTX Business, supporting graphic, marketing and intranet content for Government and Commercial projects.
